FILLINGS, INLAYS AND ONLAYS

Caries is caused by bacteria converting plaque and food (especially sugar) into acid. These acids initially dissolve the enamel, later also the dentin, causing a "hole" in the tooth. If the defect is larger, inlays and onlays will close the gap functionally and aesthetically.
